How does the prices of electric guitars differ in the quality?
Please tell me how to buy an electric guitar on an extremely detailed entry. I will thank you for that. How to choose amplifiers, etc.
today price doesn't make much difference in quality.i have played $3000.00 guitars i hated and $300.00 that were great.as far as amps go i favor tube amplifiers but it is a personal preference.find a guitar that feels good in your hands and suits the type of music that you want to play.same with the amp do you need distortion?or just a loud clean tone?the main difference in guitars is the pickups.humbuckers are best for rock and metal music.while single coils are best for everything else.but again this is only a personal preference you may prefer only single coils or only humbuckers.then their is the question of 6,7,12 strings or even a baritone guitar.and do you want an acoustic sound you can buy an electric guitar with a built in piezo pickup that emulates a acoustic sound.if you play high up on the neck get a guitar with the smallest heel you can.the heel is where the neck attaches to the body.
